The 2018 vintage was a standout year in the Yarra Valley, producing excellent fruit and growing conditions—Pinot Noir was a standout.The 2018 Reserve Pinot Noir has floral notes of rose petal, red berries and spice. The palate extends the elegance suggested on the nose, providing a cushion of supple and bright fruit characters; again of rose petal, red berries, spice and plum to balance the fine yet firm tannins. The cherry oak balance with the plush fruit profile results in a delicious, rewarding Pinot Noir.
Hand picked in March 2018. 10% whole bunch fermentation influences the wine. Following primary fermentation the fruit was pressed straight to oak. 20% new oak and the balance in older barrels.
